As if last week’s news that our work had been recognised as exceptional by the Marshalls Register and awarded two regional prizes, this week we were delighted to learn that we have been shortlisted for not one, not two, but THREE awards at next year’s Association of Professional Landscapers Awards.
We are up against some pretty stiff competition and member of the judging panel Bob Sweet commented, “It is encouraging to know that there is so much landscaping talent within the APL, which comparatively speaks highly of the landscape industry we have in the UK. The judges were challenged with so many high quality entries demonstrating both innovation and practical landscaping skills. It brought home to me as a judge that the best landscapers are gifted with the art of turning bland or ugly landscapes into beautiful and practical gardens. We can be proud of our gardening heritage in Britain, and this competition aims to identify the very best of the best to make that happen. The whole process comprehensively analyses every aspect of the entry from cost effectiveness, to choice of materials and craftsmanship. But the overall aesthetics are also important, and underlines the relationships between clients, designers and landscapers. All the entries deserve a big round of applause.”
It was our Heavenly Garden Transformation project that was selected for the categories Project Value under £25,000, Hard Landscaping and the coveted Overall Design & Build.
